What is polycystic ovary syndrome?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition resulting from a variety of genetic factors, environmental factors and abnormal hormone levels in women. Individuals with PCOS typically have irregular periods, elevated male hormones and enlarged ovaries with multiple underdeveloped follicles. PCOS is thought to affect up to 1 in 5 women in the UK and while there is no cure, lifestyle factors such as obesity can affect symptoms. Symptoms of PCOS include irregular periods and infertility due to lack of ovulation.

Take your test and post

Follow our simple instructions to take your sample and post back the enclosed prepaid envelope to our accredited lab for processing. We also offer home or workplace visits by a qualified nurse. For COVID-19 Fit to Fly tests you must attend one of our partner clinics for our trained collection officers to take your sample. You will then have the results emailed to you.
