What is Campylobacter jejuni?
Campylobacter jejuni (C. jejuni) is a genus of bacteria often found in meat, poultry and raw/unpasteurised milk. It is one of the most common causes of food poisoning in the UK, usually through improper preparation or storage of food.
Symptoms of campylobacteriosis (infection with C. jejuni) include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, fever and discomfort.
