What are trace metals?
Trace metals may be harmful if you are exposed to high amounts or exposed over long periods of time. This test measures the amount of several metals found in the natural environment: aluminium, iron, magnesium, chromium, copper, manganese, zinc, cadmium, lead and mercury.
Exposure to trace metals may cause symptoms including, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and anaemia. Chronic exposure may result in damage to the kidneys, liver, heart and nervous system.

This test measures the levels of the following trace metals in the blood: aluminium, iron, magnesium, chromium, copper, manganese, zinc, cadmium, lead and mercury. This test can be used to investigate and monitor trace metal exposure.
