What is glutathione?
Glutathione is an important antioxidant that protects cells from oxidative stress and damage. The level of glutathione in red blood cells is a strong indicator of the ability of cells to cope with damage and toxins.
Low glutathione levels in red blood cells is associated with several disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, autism, cancers, cardiovascular disease and Parkinson’s disease. It is also an indicator of oxidative stress.
