What is ehrlichiosis?
Ehrlichiosis is a disease caused by infection with bacteria carried by certain types of ticks. The disease is spread through tick bites and presents with flu-like symptoms. Infection with ehrlichiosis requires immediate treatment with antibiotics and will not typically resolve itself. Symptoms of ehrlichiosis include headache, aches, fever, diarrhoea, rashes around infection site.
