What is Anaemia?
Anaemia is a common blood condition characterised by low levels of red blood cells (RBCs) or haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is an important component of RBCs responsible for transporting oxygen. It is important to have the right amount of haemoglobin and RBCs to supply the body with enough oxygen. Anaemia can cause symptoms including fatigue, weakness and pale skin.
